Washington, DC - We had hoped to be able to report on the design concept selection for the National World War I Memorial at Pershing Park today, but it is January, and as most of you know, DC got hammered by a storm. This is causing a continuation of the Commission meeting on Tuesday 1/26.
We will put out a special edition of The Dispatch on Tuesday with the Commission's decision and selection. Meanwhile, you can review the final five design concepts here.

State Activity in MA, WV and PA - We Stand Corrected

Washington, DC - Activity this week in both Massachusetts and West Virginia. And we got a call this week from a PA volunteer who noted that the status of PA is wrong and that Pennsylvania does indeed have a working committee - including a PA WWI Centennial website hosted on our national site. If you are working to establish or grow a commemorative group in your state or city, check out the resources the Commission will provide in our toolkit!

Correction

Correction: In last week’s DISPATCH we reported that Ms. Phylicia Rashad agreed to support the 369th Division Commemoration. We are advised that she agreed to support only the specific “369th Experience” project. We regret the error.
