 oseph Guyton (First American killed on German soil in WWI) on Memorial Day 
 May 28th.The ceremony will begin at 10:00 AM at Guyton Park in Evart. Repre
 sentative Jason Wentworth will deliver a commemoration speech followed by a
  parade down Main Street to the Guyton Memorial Bridge on US 10, where a wr
 eath will be tossed into the Muskegon River. The ceremony will then move to
  Joseph Guyton’s gravesite at Forest Hill Cemetery in Evart for a brief his
 torical background and ceremonial 21 Gun Salute by the honor guard of the l
 ocal veterans organizations.   Immediately following this ceremony the Evar
 t Area Historical Society will host refreshments and a cemetery walk around
  the historical section of Forest Hill Cemetery highlighting the life of Jo
 seph Guyton as well as those of other prominent Evart residents laid to res

 y starts with a service at Evart’s Guyton Park, on the corner of Main Stree
