DESCRIPTION: The first of a series of Centenary Programs, the commemoration blends first person accounts, newspaper readings from the local press, historical interpretation of the conflict, reenactors, and period music to give the audience a better context for the war. The program will take place at the court house where the draft registration board met and the first conscripts marched off to the Great War. Limited bus funding is available for Ocean County schools to send students on a first come, first serve basis.
