DESCRIPTION:<p>“WWI, the United States, and the World” Presented by Dr. James Carter at
  the Morris County Historical Society</p><p>Join Dr. James Carter, Associat
 e Professor of History at Drew University and Department Chair, when he pre
 sents <em>WWI, the United States, and the World</em> on Monday, April 24 at
  6 p.m. at the Morris County Historical Society at Acorn Hall. Dr. Carter w
 ill discuss World War I from a global perspective, and how U.S. foreign pol
 icy shifted in the world after the Great War. This presentation is in conju
 nction with the Society’s current exhibit <em>1917: World War, Women’s Righ
 ts, and Weaponry Sciences</em>. Dr. Carter holds a Ph.D. from the Universit
 y of Houston, and specializes in U.S. foreign relations. He is the author o
 f <em>Inventing Vietnam: The United States and State Building</em> as well 
 as numerous published articles, book reviews, and essays.</p><p>Space is li
 mited, and tickets must be purchased in advance. The cost for the presentat
 ion, which includes light refreshments, is $15 for adults; $10 for seniors;
  $7 for students, and Free for MCHS members. Please contact the MCHS at 973
