  War I from a global perspective, and how U.S. foreign policy shifted in th
 e world after the Great War. This presentation is in conjunction with the S
 ociety’s current exhibit 1917: World War, Women’s Rights, and Weaponry Scie
 nces. Dr. Carter holds a Ph.D. from the University of Houston, and speciali
 zes in U.S. foreign relations. He is the author of Inventing Vietnam: The U
 nited States and State Building as well as numerous published articles, boo
 k reviews, and essays.\nSpace is limited, and tickets must be purchased in 
 advance. The cost for the presentation, which includes light refreshments, 
 is $15 for adults; $10 for seniors; $7 for students, and Free for MCHS memb
