“WWI, the United States, and the World” Presented by Dr. James Carter at the Morris County Historical Society

Join Dr. James Carter, Associate Professor of History at Drew University and Department Chair, when he presents WWI, the United States, and the World on Monday, April 24 at 6 p.m. at the Morris County Historical Society at Acorn Hall. Dr. Carter will discuss World War I from a global perspective, and how U.S. foreign policy shifted in the world after the Great War. This presentation is in conjunction with the Society’s current exhibit 1917: World War, Women’s Rights, and Weaponry Sciences. Dr. Carter holds a Ph.D. from the University of Houston, and specializes in U.S. foreign relations. He is the author of Inventing Vietnam: The United States and State Building as well as numerous published articles, book reviews, and essays.

Space is limited, and tickets must be purchased in advance. The cost for the presentation, which includes light refreshments, is $15 for adults; $10 for seniors; $7 for students, and Free for MCHS members. This presentation is offered as part of the MCHS’s Jeanne H. and William C. Watson Memorial Speakers Series, in honor of the MCHS’s first Executive Director, Jeanne Watson, 1980 – 1996.
