Emil Michael Ceterski, (32 Sobieski St., Rochester, N. Y.) began naval service at the age of 18. In 1910, he "steamed around the world" on the U.S.S.Washington. Within two months of the United State's declaration of war on Germany, he re-entered the service at Buzzards Bay, Mass., June 13, 1917, at the age of 25 years, in the U. S. Navy. Served on the U. S. S. Tucker, from April 6, 1917 to Dec. 11,1917; Receiving Ship at New York, N. Y., to Jan. 18, 1918; Receiving Ship at Boston, Mass., to June 17, 1918; U. S. S. Calhoun, to June 30,1918;  Naval Hospital, Norfolk, Va., to Sept. 10, 1918; Receiving Ship, at Norfolk, Va., Oct. 19, 1918. Chief Boatswain Mate, 584 days. Discharged, June 12, 1920.

Emill re-entered the Navy and served throughout WWII. He is buried in Arlington National Military Cemetery.
