Frank, Major 332 Infantry Regiment (American army). —Commander of the battalion in charge of setting up a bridgehead on the Tagliamento, with appropriate and wise planning to prepare the attack, and, at the time of the assault, despite violent enemy machine gun and rifle fire, he motivated his troops with his word and example, completely successful in achieving the objectives assigned to him. — Ponte della Delizia on the Tagliamento, November 4, 1918.
