His work is dedicated to his grandfather Sergeant Leonard Patrick Murphy, who served in the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps in WW1 at the 18th Veterinary Hospital, Sougy, France. As well, it is dedicated to all who served in the Veterinary Corps, the Remount Service, and the Cavalry, and to all of the horses and mules who served and gave up their lives. A fitting tribute!
